Climate and ClothingNew Zealand is a mountainous environment and has a temperate climate, but violent weather changes can occur rapidly and any fine warm day may turn into rain or snow at any time. Clothing for ALL weather conditions should be brought along. Wearing of layers is recommended. Hunting is conducted during or Fall and Winter. Temperatures may vary between 70F and freezing. In the mountains below freezing conditions may apply.
For Hunting: A warm jacket, good waterproof well cleated boots and waterproof rain wear is a necessity. There is no restriction on camouflage clothing. Binoculars are a prerequisite.
For Evenings: Comfortable casual clothing is recommended. Formal attire is not essential but house shoes are required.
